how many of you are totally, incredibly happy in your marriage?
how many of you feel that your spouse is your absolute soul mate and you couldn't even imagine your being married somebody else?
talking with the women at work, i'm surprised at how many are not totally happy.
I am so utterly happy it almost scares me.
My sweet vampire is my dreams made flesh. There is no doubt in my mind we are meant for each other. He believes this too and says with wonder; "why do people always say relationships are so much work?"

should you be easygoing?
most people would probably feel that it is a compliment to be thought of as an easygoing person, one with a relaxed, placid, tolerant nature.
however, there is another side to easygoingness.
Just before I left one congregation to attend another they had a big stupid talk on how dubs shouldn't say "take it easy!" The point was dubs shouldn't take it easy, they should be busy busy busy selling mags, attending meetings, studying and above all converting NEW drones into the hive!!!!!

if the 'hovahs are ambassadors of christ, then i'll take satan the devil any day.. in the years that i've been out of the borg, i've read and verified enough dirt on the watchtower society to make me physically sick.
it still amazes me to see the 'hovah "mind shutdown" when they are confronted with the facts.
i actually remeber when i was a 'hovah, my mind shutting down when confronted with a scary question or comment from non-'hovahs who knew something about the wts.
Yeah, I hear you.
I remeber my brain cartwheeling around in my head too! What a scary world it was to live in... Satan out to get us and our only protection was to swallow the WT bs hook line and sinker. UGH.
Jesus seemed like a nice guy, and I was fine with his papa too. Till the jws messed that all up! Now I can confidently say that I will never join any religion again that claims to have a corner on truth. Never again will I believe anyone who tells me theirs is the "only way." So i guess some good did come out of the whole mess after all. LOL I learned my lesson!

.
im asking this because lately in the uk 2 girls were murdered that were only 12 yrs old and now 59% population of the uk want the death penalty reinstated.. i assume you already have the death penalty in the usa, but do you think it is effective reducing 1st degree murder and potential child molesters, would you like to see the death penalty removed in the united states or not.. i wonder if the death penalty will be reinstated in the uk what do you think, personally i dont think it will maybe the politicians are afraid they wont get as many votes.
"Last time I checked......those that were put to death for the mentioned crimes.........never did it again! Oh ya....it works."
Yes, but the point is it doesn't seem to deter others... it doesn't prevent the crimes... and sometimes they convict the wrong person... more times than I can stomach.

Well, if the death penalty were an effective deterent to crime Texas would be the most crime free state in the union... which it isn't. I'm not saying that people who commit certain crimes don't deserve to die, surely some DO. But as Gandalf said to Frodo; "Many who live deserve death, some who die deserve life. Can YOU give it to them Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death and judgement, even the very wise cannot see all ends."
Another thought; DNA evidence has in the recent past proven that a fair number of people, some on death row, are innocent of the crimes for which they were convicted.
There are some societies where crime is very low. I believe many of them DO have a death penalty. However, I believe that the possibility of death has very little to do with the low crime rate. The key to the low rates is the fact that the socoeties are VERY homogenous. That is, they value conformity highly. In America we value freedom and independence, even rebelion... It is harder to get folks to agree on right and wrong in such a free society. I think there are ways to deter crime even so... but perhaps our greatest minds have not thought long enough about it.
If the death penalty actually detered violent crime it might be worth it even though some who were innocent would surely be executed along with the guilty. It is a simple solution, really. And it satisfies peoples lust for vengence. But it doesn't affect crime statistics at all.

Yes, the honeymoon is of Pagan origin. A month of relaxing, having sex and drinking mead would have to be wouldn't it?
Ah, doesn't it sound wonderful?
I will be marrying my Sweet Vampire in November. I wish we could take a honeymoon, but it will be a few years before we can afford to do that. Not to mention that our little baby will only be 5 months old when we marry. So, still breastfeeding.. :)
peace,

but what makes this social taboo still unacceptable by many even today?
we'll define polyamory as a sexual or romantic relationship involving more than two persons during the same time period.
all persons involved understand this up front.
i think the problem here is that despite a whole lot of words spoken... someone almost always does get hurt. I have friends who cling to the idea that it COULD work depite many many years of pain and disapointment.
The only time I've ever seen a polyamorous thing work was when there was no romantic love at all. Merely friendship with sex. Even then, it was swimming in dangerous waters! There was some hurt involved, but it was fairly minor... especially compared to the level of pain I have routinely seen in these relationships.
There is also the exponentially increasing risk of disease from each additional party involved... I think it is a bad idea, but I don't think I need to live other people's lives for them. I do feel sad when I see my friends repeatedly hurting themselves, but I try not to judge. If that makes any sense.

my bf and i just watched "the accidental spy" on dvd.it was great!
!just when you think he can't get any better!!.
what is your all time favorite?
I love Jackie Chan. He is one of those people I have "adopted" as my child. (even though he's a lot older than I am.) I feel compelled to worry about him. He is such a nut! But it makes for great cinema.
One of my other favorite people is Steve Irwin. It is hard to believe that one guy could get SO MANY people interested in conserving wildlife.. and non-cuddly wildlife for the most part.
I could just HUG these two big teddy bears. :)

what were the worst introductions you remmeber people using on the ministry?
"hello my friend and i....." .
"hello we've been talking to your neighbours, do you think we can ever see a peaceful world?
Really? She would just start READING at the person??? That is truly awful. I thought all the intros were pretty bad. There was one sweet old lady in one of the halls I attended that could not make a point to save her life. She would just start rambling away at the folks going on and on without ever actually SAYING anything until they shooed her away.
Yikes!
